How do I remove the caliper mounting bolt in front wheel?
I am trying to fix my car's brake disc. I did the back wheels, but I can't seem to open the front wheels' caliper mounting bolts. They seem to be stuck. My back wheels' bolts opened fine, but the fronts' won't turn. I think it's because the bolts are too old. I try WD-40, but it still does not work. I tried hammering, but it didn't work either. Can someone tell me how to open them? I do not want to buy an impact wrench.
put a big breaker bar in there and hammer on the back of the breaker inline with the bolt head while a friend turns it. you want to hit in the direction just like you were hitting the head of the bolt squarely. that may work, but an impact is the best bet.
